Heres some helpful hints on keeping your computer running smooth.

• Keep your computer case clean. Having a dirty computer case is harmful to your computer. If your fans and heat sinks are gunked up with dust, they're not going to cool as they should and will cause random lockups.
• If your computer starts to act sluggish, run some anti-spyware such as Spy Sweeper or Ad-Aware to clean up your machine; most likely it's because of spyware on your computer.
• If you have a newer computer and it randomly locks up, it could be due to a faulty power supply. If store bought, it's not likely to be caused by the processor overheating.
• When building a computer, I hardly ever use the drivers on the disks you get. By the time you get the product, those drivers on the disk are obsolete. I get the ones straight off the manufactures website for best performance.

New Mail and File Server

This will be my new mail and file server for brandonnorris.me site. I wanted a site where I could document and post upcoming projects. I started losing interest on my old site and wanted to do something new. Brandonnorris.me is hosted on Ubuntu 8.04 LTS, as I wanted to give it a try. This far, I have to say I've been loving it.
